This website is designed to inform you about what we do, who we are and what the procedure is to become a foster carer. This will assist you. You will receive training which will enable you to feel confident and prepared when fostering for the first time as well as an allowance after a suitable period.

This allowance is normally tax free and does not affect the majority of benefit. We trust this website will give you a better insight into fostering.

Then, one of our Social Workers will phone you to arrange an informal chat. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. We suggest that each member of the family, including any children, write these down. The Social Worker will explain more about what is involved in fostering a child or young person.
